Okay, I admit it... I have been slightly neglecting my blog, but not because I haven't been doing work!  I've been working hard to prep for the new school year and for the Phonics, Vocabulary, and Comprehension PD that Katie (over at Kdot's Learning Spot ) and I have been working on! I Heart Rhinos

I got this email today, and I like rhinos, so I'm spreading the word. They have an option to donate as little as $8 a month, plus there's options to donate one time, and you can use PayPal, your checking account, or a credit card. PLUS when you donate money, some employers will match or double the amount you donate. Teaching Phonemic Awareness with Sight Words

I have been meaning to make these activities for a while and I finally had the time to do it!  Every time I teach my class a new sight words, we always look at the phonemic sounds that go into it.  I decided to make task cards for a center game that will be sure to help reinforce the phonics that go into the sight words!  I made two sets of cards: pre-primer words and primer words. I can't wait to use this lesson plan with my Kindergarten students tomorrow!
