Switched Is Out Today!!!!!

Amazon, in its infinite wisdom and tricky trickiness, has Switched  for sale today. It's currently only available for the Kindle, but the paperbacks should be up soon. The site that sells my book says the page is up, but when I click on it, I get an error message. 

But as soon as the paperback is ready, I'll have the link for it. And the good news is I was able to keep paperback prices much lower than I was for the My Blood Approves series by switching publishing companies. Paperback copies of Switched will only be $7.99, and the Kindle version is only $2.99!!!!!

For those of you that buy paperback, the cover will still be the paler image - at least for a little while. I will get it updated with the new, brighter image ASAP.

Teaching Phonemic Awareness with Sight Words

I have been meaning to make these activities for a while and I finally had the time to do it!  Every time I teach my class a new sight words, we always look at the phonemic sounds that go into it.  I decided to make task cards for a center game that will be sure to help reinforce the phonics that go into the sight words!  I made two sets of cards: pre-primer words and primer words. I can't wait to use this lesson plan with my Kindergarten students tomorrow!

101 Movies You Must See Before You Die

On the internet, I found a list of the 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die. It was a very long list. I went through it, but I hadn't seen that many movies before 1950, and it had several movies I suspect were fake. So then I found the list 101 Movies You Must See Before You Die, and I've seen 93 of them. What does that prove? That I watch a lot of movies.
